rectangular dish (series)

The rectangular dish sculpture utilizes many of the same tools and methods used to make the vertical dish, the C-Curve and the S-Curve. Precision formed from 3/4" stainless steel plate, the highly polished convex and concave surfaces are simple in their basic form but visually complex and evocative. As with the other dished reflective plates, the magic is that objects that are close appear greatly enlarged, distorted and right-side up, while objects in the distance simultaneously appear shrunken and upside down.
